The monthly Ladies Night In continues to roll right along and has been an excellent way to meet and get to know your neighbors!  Many thanks to those who have hosted the last few months.

The First Annual Spring Chili Cookoff was a huge success with over 60 neighbors coming out and joining in the fun!

Atlanta Dogwood Festival
April 16-18, 2010 - Piedmont Park


Heralding the return to springtime in the South... the 73rd Annual Atlanta Dogwood Festival will be held at Piedmont Park ... from April 16 through April 18.

2009's Dogwood celebration featured fun activities for the entire family; including a Dog Frisbee Competition... Kid's Village... Rock-Climbing Wall and much, much more. The Dogwood Festival's famous Artist's Market featured over 240 exhibitors.

2010 Dogwood Festival Hours are Friday, Noon - 9:00 PM; Saturday, 10 AM - 9 PM; Sunday, 10 AM - 5 PM.

 

Inman Park Festival
April 24th

INMAN PARK FESTIVAL Atlanta biggest Street Market, offering everything from antique furniture to handcrafted wares. A juried Arts and Crafts Show featuring some of the Southeast finest artists. The city quirkiest and most colorful Parade, led by the Inman Park Butterfly followed by floats, bands, art cars, politicians, drill teams, KellySeed and Feed Marching Abominable Band, clowns, jugglers, and many more. The parade ends with the appearance of the Inman Park Trash Monarch, perched atop the throne-a street sweeper. The Festival centerpiece, the Tour of Homes, featuring turn-of-the-century Victorian Painted Ladies and Craftsman bungalows as well as original contemporary designs and loft conversions. Live entertainment, including rock-n-roll, blues, swing, jazz, folk, Western, and beyond. A Dance Festival that showcases some of Atlanta best ballet and modern dance companies. Children Activities-with a giant slide, cool obstacle course, relays and more as well as vendors with products for your children. A wide variety of food and beverages on sale throughout the Festival. An infamous line-up of Atlanta wildest groups, including the Inman Park Precision Attach© Drill Team, live bands, and the Trash Monarch Begins at 2:00 p.m. Saturday A program of classical and contemporary dance in the Trolley Barn from 4 to 5 PM on Saturday This is a kid friendly event and is sure to be lots of fun for everyone. Atlanta Jazz Festival 2010
May 29-31, 2010 - Various Locations throughout Atlanta Georgia


Considered one of the World's greatest Musical Celebrations ...this annual jazz event always draws a couple of 100,000 people to listen to many well-known musicians such as Fats Domino and the Neville Brothers.

The Atlanta Jazz Festival will take place at ' several different ' Venues throughout the Atlanta area, including: Centennial Olympic Park, Underground Atlanta, Churchill Grounds, Piedmont Park and more.

Thursdays, 6-10 p.m. Continues through Sept. 25.
An evening in the garden sipping a light cocktail while learning about different featured flowers or plants. August's theme: Rock Roses and Red Rubies.
